Go out and take a walk in the park right now. Do you like the benches there? Sure, they are well planned, very robust and maybe even in a good shape. Are they comfortable enough? Are they in sunny or shady places? Large enough? Do you see where I am going to? There are many things that make a bench good or bad. It's not just to go out and buy the first bench you see. It takes planning and evaluation.
If you have smaller items to store, you can opt for hallway benches with the drawers, compartments and baskets. When you store shoes, it is kept organized and at the same time you can sit comfortably on the bench and tie the shoe laces. A low bench design with the baskets offers a rustic look to the entire interior. When the hallway space is very small, a triangular shape bench with the storage is the best option.
The bench press is a three part movement. This may seem silly at first, but think about it this way. First you have the descent, the stretch of your pectorals, second you have the initial push, the engagement of the pecs, and third you have the finish, the engagement and contraction of your triceps. Three parts, two parts that really engage your muscles, and one part that is primarily your weakness.
